Features of WrapOn 31006 Pipe Freeze Protection Heating Cable
The Wrap-On Pipe Heating Cable prevents frozen water pipes to -50ºF. Simply wrap on, insulate and plug in. Engineered for use on metal and rigid plastic pipes. A built-in thermostat turns the cable on at 38ºF. Proven low-wattage design uses up to 65 percent less energy at 2 watts per foot vs. other cables at 7 watts per foot, and protects to -50ºF.

Additional Application Information
The cable should be installed only on residential or mobile home water supply pipes that are full of water and located above ground. Use only on steel, copper, ABS, PVC, CPVC or other plastic pipes rated for at least 140°F service. To install, you will also need PVC/electrical tape, fiberglass pipe insulation, a tape measure and eye protection.
- WARNING: DO NOT use this product on fuel lines, drain lines, hoses or buried pipes.
- This cable has been designed for the sole purpose of preventing metal and rigid plastic water filled lines from freezing.
- WARNING: The cable must not touch, crossover or overlap itself. Failure to follow this instruction may create a hazardous condition resulting in overheating and/or fire.
- Each package contains one ready-to-install pipe heating cable along with installation instructions.
- Note: This cable will not keep a pipe from freezing unless properly insulated. Fiberglass pipe wrap is required to complete the installation.
