  • Please note that we do not ship on Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays. 
  • The vast majority of orders ship from our Michigan warehouse and the rest direct ship from the manufacturer.
  • Expedite and Ground service levels will appear in your cart with their associated costs. In stock products ordererd by 3-4:00 pm EST can ship Overnight (1 day), 2 day, Express Saver (3 day), Ground (1-5 days) or Smart Post/Sure Post (up to 10 days with USPS final delivery).
  • Large orders ship via Truck.

If you prefer a specific carrier, please note it in the "Order Comment" box on the Payment Page.

Free Shipping:
Some of our products ship for free and for those products, a $0 shipping method will appear in your cart. We typically use UPS or FedEx Ground for free shipping orders, but your order may ship via Truck, USPS, SmartPost or SurePost.

Collect Shipments:
If you would like us to ship on your UPS or FedEx Established Shipping Account #, enter it in the "Order Comment" box on the Payment Page. We will zero out the shipping cost on your order.

Store Pickup (Will Call):
If you are in the West Michigan area, and would like to come to the Mor Electric Heating Customer Counter, let us know in the "Order Comment" box on the Payment Page. We will zero out the shipping cost on your order. Pickup your order, M-F 8am-5pm at 5880 Alpine Ave. NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321.

Colorado:
Due to the complexities of the 2018 Colorado Sales Tax collection requirements for out of state retailers, we are no longer accepting orders with a Colorado shipping address. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you enter a Colorado zip code, no shipping methods will appear on the checkout page.

Canadian Customers:
All UPS or FedEx shipments to Canada INCLUDE the customs clearance charge in the shipping rate charged by Mor Electric Heating Assoc., Inc. Any duties and taxes due will be billed directly to the package recipient from UPS or FedEx and are the responsibility of the package recipient.

Heat Loss Calculation

General Guidelines and Rules of Thumb:

Quick heat loss calculation:          A general rule of thumb for Primary Heating of an insulated commercial or residential room is to use 10 Watts/SqFt of heat.
Example: a 10ft x 10ft room is 100 square feet.
100 x 10 W/SqFt = 1000 Watts. 
Note:  Supplementing existing heaters such as a forced air furnace system would require less wattage.

 

Quick IR outdoor heat loss calculation:   A general rule of thumb for outdoor heating using quartz lamp infrared heaters is 2 W/SqFt will yield approximately a 1°F perceived temperature rise.
Perceived 10°F Rise requires 20W/SqFt of Infrared heat
Perceived 20°F Rise requires 40W/SqFt of Infrared heat
Perceived 30°F Rise requires 60W/SqFt of Infrared heat
