Features of VE400C3301 Modine Electric Unit Heater

The Modine VE Series Electric Unit Heater is a heavy duty, fan forced unit heater, with Vertical air delivery. It is designed to provide a long heat throw with uniform heat delivery and low maintenance. It is recommended for commercial and industrial buildings with high ceilings and where obstructions do not permit good horizontal air movement such as factories, warehouses, shipping areas, and aircraft hangers.

• 480 Volt, 3 Phase, 40 KW
• Heavy gauge steel housing with a gray-green powder coated finish.
• Four threaded mounting holes (1/2 – 13 N.C. TAP) in the top of the unit for threaded rod or pipe suspension (not included with heater).
• Motor heat shield protects the motor from heated air passing through the unit.
• The propeller fan is directly connected to the motor and is statically balanced.
• Completely enclosed fan motor, continuous duty, with automatic reset thermal overload protection, and rated 208-230V/60Hz/1Ph.
• Power junction box on top of unit for access to contactors, fuses, and transformer.
• Side terminal box for access to heating element terminals.
• Spiral finned metal sheathed tubular heating elements provides even air distribution and highly efficient heat transfer.
• High temperature automatic reset control interrupts the power supply to the heating elements in the event of overheating. The control resets when the heating element returns to a safe temperature.
• Contactor coils are rated at 208-240 volts.
• 208-240 Volt, Line Voltage Control is standard. (Optional low voltage control is available: Use Modine Low Voltage Control Kit# MODINE78630 3H32585A1 25V Low Voltage Thermostat).
• All 480 volt, 3-phase VE units have built-in transformers and fuses to stepdown voltage and protect motor and control circuit.
• Fuse blocks with fuses are factory-installed on all 480 volt, 3-phase VE units to protect motor control and motor transformer.
• Models VE 300,400, 500 with 480 volt, 3-phase power supply are wired for two-stage control as standard equipment and have two contactors.
